Western Isles?

Hi TnK

Sorry for the delay in replying but we have only just got past the track day section in Porsche Post. You offer the Western Isles as a suggestion in your R8 post and it has to be one of our favourite areas and where we took our Porsche on it's inaugural trip. Yes, it is so wonderful that one can forgive the Shearings coaches which only remind one that it is deservedly a tourist route and not a Top Gear track day special. We would love to go and would be pleased to help out in the research if required.

We hope to hear more. Three wheelers at the Three Chimneys? Perhaps not, no luggage space!

Brn brm, Max and Dorothy.

I love the Western Isles and have been there a number of times in the 911, island hopping from Skye to Lewis and then down the islands to Barra.

Wonderful places and some of the smoothest roads in the UK with little traffic out there. Even the B roads are smoother than our English motorways with few repairs.

We went to Skye for a long weekend last year and found a lovely place called the Stein Inn, the oldest inn of Skye. Typical old style inn but the room was lovely overlooking the loch.

That time we didn't get out to the Western Isles but Skye has so much to offer.

Hi everyone
We will do an uptodate reccy this summer with the TR lot (we have been many times with them) and then try and get something organised for 2012.
Several others in the club have already expressed an interest.
Cheers

Interesting.
Loved Skye last time I was there, however we were in the truck (110 Diesel Landy).
Somehow the tourists treat you like a local in one of those [;)]
