wet floor

the floor carpet on the drivers side is always wet after washing and driving in the rain can anyone help

Zack,

A couple of things come to mind;

1) Is the bottom of the drivers door wet too? It could be the door membrane has become detatched.
2) Is the drain under the hood blocked (partially open the hood so you can get under the rear cover)? There is a hole at a low point forward of the cover.

As Andre says above, check the doors, and the drains in the area under the clamshell (hood cover). These can get blocked - when servicing is done they are blown out with an airline. But if the car has leaves/debris under there they can get blocked. I've even heard of a polishing cloth getting forgotten and left under there and this blocked the drain.

These need to be kept clear as water that gets trapped finds a way out - and this can be to the cockpit.
Under the passenger seat there are expensive electronics and if these get wet it can be VERY expensive!

Thanks for the advice, will check tommorrow, sorry been working away for months just home cheers zack (the car was garaged)

It was a split lining, under the clamshell on mine. Easy fix.
Be quick though - various, expensive to replace, electronics live under the seats (though primarily passenger side).
