Hi guys, just noticed ive got a wet carpet in the passenger footwell as the car has been off the road for more that a year it must be from above Are there any common causes for this? Where is the first place i should look for a leak?

thanks

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

A quick search on the forum should point you towards the most likely causes of these typically common faults.

I think i would personally start by checking your sunroof drainage tubes... make sure they are clear.

[:)] oh well.... guess so

Perhaps make sure the vents on the bulkhead are clear beneath the windscreen

I know in your other posting.. you mention that you maybe missing the plastic cover, check that there are no leaves and debris blocking the drains either side.

yes i have had people say that the pre 85 models did not have the plastic cover so im not sure where to go with that but it does look strange when you can see the battery terminals etc from outside the car with the bonnet shut

ill have a look for the drain holes and poke them through

thanks
