wet patch under rear nearside seat

997London

New member
Hi guys and gals just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. After washing my car yesterday I found a really really damp patch under the rear leather seat insert in the back of my car on the passenger side. It may well have something to do with the wash but it really should not be like that I don't think.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Dont own a997 personally , but best sort iut out ........................have seen plenty of older cars where the squab area has been left wet and rusted right through.............multitude of reasons

will get the spanners out and take out seat back and carpet to have a look, but am sure its not right, car only four years old

Have u had to have any glass out ,lower corners rear window rubbers good starter? .........at least if u can lift the carpet u may find a white mark type trail.......................i have Porsches of varying ages ...........it definitely should nt happen on any of them ............unless u left the roof open or something a bit daft, it should be easy to find .......................on a modern car, to rot through will ,hopefully, take a while................................once its on the metal under the squab there no where really for it to go

I have stripped seats and carpet out to dry it out. When hose is put on sunroof the water appears near rear seatbelt reel mounting. So have been told is probably blocked sunroof drain tubes. They are somewhere near the rear wheel but dont know where. Can any one help?
