A new event in Weymouth on the South Coast on15 July2016 ,come on down make a weekend of it accomadation to fit all budgets PASS THE WORD

Tempting but I'd have just returned from the Classic so free time maybe limited!

Please do not confuse this event with the real "Porsches on the Prom" at Llandudno in May.

This event should be labelled as " Weymouth Porsches on a Prom"

This is plagiarisms at it's best

Brendan Daly

Motorsport Chairman

PCGB Director

We did try and contact regarding the name, but had no reply, and it was raised again at club office when we started promoting the event, not surprisingly, but the name was picked by our hosts in Weymouth and was something I believe we had to agree to. I hardly think you can call it plagiarism! I would much rather see some "co-promotion" - it may benefit not only Dorset, and North Wales, but the club in general.

We are and have always advertised the event within the club "Weymouth Porsche on the Prom" see link:

What the Weymouth council choose to call it is for them. I suggest Paul or a moderstor should alter the name of this thread to avoid "confusion".

I would kindly ask Brendan to delete his "plagiarisms" remark has I think it is not becoming of an officer of the Club.

Perhaps I should call my car a Portland special as I would hate to think I was guilty of copying the same name on Mr Brendans car

I hope this plagiarism does not dissuade people from attending this event as it is looking to be a great meeting place for like minded people

Paul
