Can anyone help?

I've just obtained a whale-tail off a Carrera to fit on my SC Sport, the whole thing is currently black and I'm about to paint it Silver.

I need to look at a top veiw of one so I can ascertain what part should be satin black, if one you helpfull guys could post me a a close up picture it would be a major help.

I also need to know if the beading that goes around the top and sides should run along the bottom, as it currently has foam. Should it need to run all the way around, where can I obtain new beading?

Cheers

Harry

i have an 1984 model and the grill on the top is matt black while the rest is painted body colour. you don;t have to mask of the rubber edge to paint it as you can look inside and will find bolts and screws which you can undo to remove the rubber edgeing/lip. the seal on mine is rubber and goes alround . you can get the seal from type 911 in beckenham. i replaced mine just before eynsham last year as i put my car in concours. it is a fiddleie job to get it just as it should be but can be done.
if anyone has'nt sent posted a picture by sunday i will get my camara out and post one.
