What 2020 car events to visit?

I'm trying to work out what events I want to try to go to this year, I want to pack lots in and I'm early booking most events to save money as the discounts are decent. I'm Bucks based and only normally get Sundays spare, so that defines my choices somewhat.
Any suggestions for things I've missed would be gratefully received!

-21-23 February Stoneleigh Race Retro
No 100% sure yet I can make it yet, but always enjoyable.

-22nd March Das Feuer (club event)
Not sure about this one, will look to book closer to the time.

-26th April Bicester Sunday Scramble
Tickets booked - a no brainer!

-1-3 May Donington Historic Festival
Not been before, ticket booked

-24th May Motorsport at the Palace or Supercar Fest Sywell Aerodrome
Probably go to Crystal Palace event, as it's always great.

-6-7th June Coventry Motorfest or Beaulieu Porsche event

-21st June Bicester Sunday Scramble or Prescott Porsche Hill Climb
Decisions, decisions...

-9-12 July Goodwood Festival of Speed
Will wait for any ticket deals, but will not miss it.

-19th July Brooklands Supercar Sunday

-July 31 - 2 August Silverstone Classic
Not sure about this, it's very expensive for what it is in my opinion.

-30th August Supercar Fest Shelsey Walsh
Could be interesting

-6th September Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche
Tickets booked, the last one I went to was great, shame it's the day after the Brighton Speed Trials, but might try to do both and make a weekend of it.

-19-20th September Kop Hill
So local it would be rude not to (and it's very good)

-4th October Bicester scramble

That's a packed agenda for the year ahead. I wish I could be so organised! I enjoy a visit to Goodwood every now and then and the Brighton&Hove motor club events (eg transaxle day) is always a good turn out, plus for variety they do the Sunday morning breakfast club events...

I'd put the Silverstone Classic at the top of the list, usually a huge Porsche turn-out and the displays from the different car clubs are amazing.
Donington is good as it's early in the season so lots of people make the effort. Goodwood FoS is the most expensive event I attend and I've never had a ticket deal but I generally go for a day.

Having done Silverstone classic for the last 3 years I'd also highly recommend it. Lots going on, great Porsche presence and if you get the early discount prices it's not to bad (going on the Friday this year and paid about £45 for myself and my son to get in along with infield parking and coffee all day long).

I have never done as many events as I'd like to due to family commitments which I'm sure many on here can relate to.

Thanks for all the replies - they're really appreciated.

The Goodwood transaxle event is something I'd definitely like to go to, I can't see a date for it yet but presume it will be around August time based on last years one.

I went to the Silverstone classic several years in a row, but probably not been for more than 5 years, so perhaps I should revisit it. The cheapest ticket I could find was £65 for the Sunday from memory, so I've perhaps missed the best deals.

I've just added Motorsport at the Palace in May which I really enjoy, it clashes with the Sywell Aerodrome event, so will have to make a decision on that soon.

Normally First saturday in August, and there is another 968 UK meet up at goodwood in May, for the other round of the Brighton and Hove sprint meeting

Beaulieu is a very good call, I've never been either. The Porsche event I can see on their calender is June 7th so clashes with the Coventry show, so I'll have to pick one. I suspect the Coventry one will involve a lot of traffic jams (as it's a big free event) so avoiding that alone could be enough to sway me.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for the 968 event, sounds good, just a shame Goodwood is a bit of a trek from here, but the roads around it make it worthwhile.

I went to the Donington Historics 2 years ago - it was excellent. Sun was shining & the I could have spent hours just strolling round the paddock.. (It seems that Donington is either glorious and sunny or windy & cold/wet, with seemingly no middle ground)

Great racing from the 60's saloons - Cortinas, Minis & some big US beasts. The E-types / sports cars were good to watch as well. Loads of good spots for spectating - I thought the outside of old hairpin was particularly good.

How about Classic Le Mans?

Thanks Ed, very glad I've booked for Donington now - not been there for years.

I'd love to go to Classic Le Mans but realistically I struggle to more than a day away from work at a time and this year is going to continue to be expensive sorting the last bits of the car out (new tyres soon, then a front cage and a track day or two if I can manage it) so that rather limits longer jaunts (and if I take the 944 it has to prove itself to be up for long distance runs, as its been off the road for so long now).

Probably the furthest I will go this year will be a trip to combine a visit to portmeirion and a track day at Anglesea - been on my to do list for ages [:D]

Nick & I are going to Donington on the Saturday-this is our 3rd time-great to see cars I have owned for road use screaming around inc Austin A30//35s ,Cortinas,Escorts,Minis, maybe a Hillman Avenger & most important Rover Vitesse SD1s.
They've always been great days out & my trusty 924S track car will get us there & back.[:)]

So much for planning a bumper year of activities!

Anyway, there's hopefully some light at the end of the tunnel now. It looks like the Brands Hatch Porsche event is still on, on the 6th of September. I've been promised my car will be done by then (yay!), so fingers crossed. Anyone else going? I was there at the weekend for an Italian car event, it was great and very well run.

I am also tempted by the Beaulieu Simply Porsche event at the end of the September, I've not been before.

Other than that I've got both Bicester events booked (Classic Car Drive in and the October Scramble). So shaping up to be a good late season.

Did the London Concours yesterday at the H.A.C. in the City. Some great cars, but unfortunately, it rained all day.

I'm booked in for the Bicester Scramble and am displaying my Maserati MC Stradale (so won't be in the 944). But I'll keep my eye out for yours.

There were a few MC Stradales at the Brands event and I had a good look at them, a very attractive car but I very rarely see any out and about so I guess production numbers were quite low?

Hi Folks,

This has been happening every couple of weeks for a month or so now and takes place in Spetchley Park and Gardens on the outskirts of Worcester and close to the M5 motorway. They have been alternating with a Sunday breakfast meet one week and the Wednesday evening meet the following week. Tickets are £4 and there are food stalls in attendance.

I should be taking the 944 Turbo along on the 26th - perhaps see some of you there

I might be going to Bicester Sunday Scramble in October as well - not decided yet and don't know which car I would be taking.

There are about 35 of the original 2-seat versions in the UK. These were all built in 2011. It was Maserati's response to the 911 GT3 - i.e. a lighter and more hard core version of the Gran Turismo, with a roll cage instead of back seats, carbon front seats from the Enzo, carbon/ceramic brakes, lowered suspension, etc. (This is the version I have.)

Then, in 2012 they introduced a 4 seat version in its place, and this was available up until about 2016. I think about 150 were sold in the UK. I suppose people like the choice of being able to take guests/children out for a spin.

There is one 2-seat version currently available and its a belter. It's only done 350 miles and has been professionally stored. So it's like buying a brand new car, but a bargain price (£70k, as opposed to the original price of circa £115k). It's at Car Iconics.

That looks like an amazing venue. Bit too far of a trek for me on a work evening, but I'll keep an eye out for a Sunday one.

Has anyone been to Caffeine and Machine? Looks like they're back up and running and sounds like an interesting place to visit too.

I was completely unaware of them, what a great combination of looks and performance. Will your car be in a Maserati owners club area at Bicester? I'll keep a look out for it.
