After all the rain last night I thought I'd dig the old girl out as she's been under 18 in of snow since last Friday.

Started first time [:D]

Mine started but is virtually impossible to drive. Although it looked comical it was far better with spacesaver rears, but it still needs two or three bags of cement in the boot.....

Glad you said that, mine has been particularly poor in the snow and slush, no grip at all!

I've been enjoying myself immensely [:D]
What should be a 15 minute commute has taken an hour and a half on a couple of occasions but I've enjoyed every second. I'm not sure the front wheels have been pointing straight ahead very often but I've not got it stuck yet. I am glad that I'm not using the white car as that would have grounded out everywhere, but the S has been ace.

That was a spooky reminder! I bought into my 944 on the basis that my Dad ran two of them back in '84 and '86. He would put a couple of bags of sand in the boot on the real winter days that we used to take for granted.

I never understood why upsetting the near-perfect balance he'd been going on about whilst my Brother and I squashed our teenage tackle in the rear seats needed such a clumsy solution.

I'm taking him out for his birthday this week in my car. I'm seriously thinking of putting him in the back, with a couple of Travis Perkin's finest in his lap. Father-Son bonding at it's best. [:)]
