Great day out yesterday at Beamish. Thanks to you all for your company - sorry we stuck to the motorway rather than the byways! Super weather and venue - congrats to R3. Special congratualtions to Geof; you're our winner anyway!

Paul.

Note to self - must take some photos next time!

Did Geoff not win anything?

I took a couple of pictures at lunch time but when we got back at the end of the day there only the R3 helpers and us left in the field. They were aiming to get up into the village and get pictures taken amongst the buildings, will be good to see them.

We went back the way we came, sadly there was more traffic around on the way home so it wasn't as much fun [;)] and once we got back to the A1 I had to talk to myself.

No such luck in our car. Lisa couldn't fall asleep as she was in MY seat again [] Regarding Paul being a steady driver, hmmm I don't think so. We set off not too long after he did and took the A1 route. Did we see him on the return journey. Nope. I think he's at last found the loud pedal [;)]

We did however catch up that slow coach Carnaby bloke though [:D]

Yes, great venue, great weather and not bad company!!
Had a fantastic day out but, as Mark said, when we got back mid afternoon after a trip down memory lane, there weren't many cars left (even Specialist Cars of Malton had gone home!)
Steady drive back home (glad this part of A1 finally finished)
Looking forward to the WOTY in a couple of weeks, but don't think the weather will return though.

Thanks for coming guys and glad you enjoyed it, those that hung around till after 5 were given the opportunity to take our cars up on to the old town street for photos. We had to wait until the general public had gone and the last tram had run.

We're well pleased with this as a first time event and have already agreed we'll hold our annual show there again next year

regards
Ash
