What are these holes for?

Looking to mount my LPG tank in the S2... I have taken out the back seat, and now looking for suitable mounting points, preferably without drilling holes.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]On the front lip of the rear seat base are four rather substantial looking tubed holes that appear to go to the outside world. Probably about 8-10mm diameter.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]They are not drain holes, as they are not at the bottom of the seat base, and needn't be so substantial. I expect them to be a throw-back to the 924 or something - any-one any ideas? As a point of interest, I know that if the rear seat belt bolts are missing a lot of road noise gets through the holes. As these have nothing in them at all, I could see them being another source of noise - for those that want to keep the inside of their car quite.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Also, if you remove the rear hatch carpet, there are two little sticky up taped lugs - Tapped M8, about 10mm tall. These again would be ideal for my purposes except they do not look particularly substantial. Again, any-one know what they are for? If it turns out the ay are rear mounting points for a full harness or something then ideal, but they don't look man enough for it to me.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]TIA,[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Tref.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Interesting point about noise and holes .... what would you suggest filling them with? Silicone, or something more substantial?

Oli.

In my case bolts to hold in an LPG tank! Mass and anti-noise are the only things I know that stop low frequency, so a bolt would be better, but difficult to get above and below the car at the same time. A can of squirty foam would be the next best thing I guess.
