What are these parts??

I have asked before but no-one could tell me so I ask again in case someone can.

I `think` they are designed to fit over a non seated Mo30 damper so as to make it adjustable if used in conjunction with a threaded collar (bottom spring seat) and locking ring so aftermarket springs can be used??

The nearest I can tell is in the 968 PET where two damper options were offered however the part ref 951.343.521.00 is not recognised??

The left hand strut has a threaded bottom part, was this a sleeve or machined onto the strut??

The M030 konis are all height adjustable by a threaded lower spring perch. I'm pretty sure it's machined into the strut housing but can't physically chek just now. Your picture looks a bit like the aftermarket threads that Paragon in the US sell to convert a fixed shock to height adjustable

They are off standard 944 M030 struts, I have mine apart right now and the part no is the same.

Thanks Rich,

Therefore I assume you could cut the base spring perch from a standard strut and thereby make it adjustable OR they allow standard 2.5" spring perches to be used thereby allowing greater choice of spring types and ratings?

Paul they are stamped with Porsche part numbers preceded by a `KN2` reference.

You may be right as there is a small `shield` with a fairly abstract `P` stamped into the bottom and it looks like these which as I thought allow a standard 2.5" spring to be fitted to an Mo30 Koni damper.
