Following a winscreen crack I took the opportunity to fit a later type screen with an inbuilt aerial to my '78SC (don't say post in the SC forum), I then bought an aerial booster from a Porsche breakers which is missing a vital connector.
Looking at the attached pic . I assume
2. is for the usual aerial connection at the radio itself, Does
3. need to be connected and what is it anyway, is it simply a copy of 3. with a connector for a different type of aerial fitting? Is the drilled mounting at
4. also an earth?
1. has the connector missing, I assume it connects into the screen female connector now residing behind my clocks, if I can't get the breakers to find one on Monday what type of male plug is this, special or easily available?

this unit mounts directly behind the drivers side bonnet hinge,ie behind the clock in the luggage compartment on a threaded stud for 3.2 cars. the threaded stud acts as an earth to the booster unit(4),the wire labeled(1) should be soldered to the windscreen in the lower drivers corner (should be on your new screen). wire (1) will unplug from the booster box. the aerial lead (2)plugs into the back of the car radio and wire (3) should be connected to the car radio electric aerial supply at the rear of the radio.hopes this helps

Thanks everyone problem sorted now , the breakers are sending me a replacement cwire no1 with connectors on both ends this time so I don't have to fart around. I'm mounting the unit behind the clocks inside the dash.
