you could have HIDs fitted to the main beam as well...

Tim, do you think this would work?

I was going to do this. However I did the dips first and I'm sure now (at least with the model I used - HIDS4U) that the way they light up (initial brief flash, then dim for a bit less than a second, then fade up to full brighness over maybe 2 seconds) would mean they were not practical for main beam.

Agree with you about the sides. But I tried some cheap LEDs off ebay and they were dreadful - right colour but not enough light. I put the tungstens back in.

Hi Mark.

I only suggest this because i know that GT-One did a main and dipped HIDs conversion for a customer just before they did the dipped beams on mine. You could call Peter or Craig and see what they have to say - these guys know what they are doing, so I can't imagine they would have done it if there was a problem. Apparently it turns night into day even more so!!

BTW, do you have any solution to the side lights, or just stick with the old tungsten bulbs?

Tim, No, I'm still using the old tungsten ones.

I'd be very interested to hear if anyone's found a source for any bright LEDs for replacing the side lights. I also tried some from AceParts - but they were no brighter than the ones off ebay.
