what colour is my car/ code options

I always thought that the colour of my car was known as Baltic Blue. I have seen this many times listed in adverts over the past few years I've been looking for a S2 and,on this forum you are guilty. According to the paint code which is LM5P ,on www.type911.co.uk it is called.... wait for it ... 'Dove' not hawk, eagle, vulture... but 'DOVE' Blue. ( better than 'cockatoo blue' I guess! ) Am I completely wrong in thinking my car is a proud 'Baltic Blue' or what?
On code options which I got hold of before I found my car I was quite eager to find hidden goodies, but just the usual half a dozen like headlight washers... wow (yawn)
Maybe Diver944 could set up 'what codes do you have???' or 'what colour do you think your car is?' I don't have the wherewithall, but the sadness!
Has anyone got code option 240?

Forgot to upload this for scrutiny!

I 'think' but am quite happy to be proved wrong [;)] that type911 are using the US name for the colour.

Some colours used different names in different world markets. My Turbo is LM5P and I have always known that as Baltic Blue, but I know they call it Dove Blue in the US.

The only true way is to find someone with an original UK colour chart or sales brochure from 1989

According to my list...

240 = Version for countries with inferior fuel

btw LM5P is Baltic Blue metallic up to model year 1990 - p/n L 0M5 P02
