What colour is this GT3

Hi all

I am looking at buying a 997 C2S in the next couple of months and was thinking of going for seal grey. However I saw the following video on youtube showing a gt3 in a really nice grey but can't work out which it is. I think its slate grey, is that correct?

Any ideas?

Thanks

I may be wrong here but I though that they dropped the Seal Grey colour for the 997s and replaced it with Meteor Grey? If this is the case then I'd say that it's Meteor Grey (it's darker than the Seal Grey). It doesn't look dark enough for Slate to me - but I might be wrong!

You can definitely get seal grey on the 997 as I've looked at a couple. I think that it has been phased out though and meteorite grey does seem to be the closest colour to it now.

ORIGINAL: adrian996

i would say its slate too.not quite dark enough for atlas but much darker than meteor(see gary w`s )which as someone pointed out, took over from seal grey a couple,or three years ago

I would say Meteor Metallic, which was launched at the same time as the GT3. Can look darker or lighter depending on the ambient light.

The close up shots do look like Meteor(2:23) , however the wider shots do look like Slate. [&:]
Meteor has a bronze fleck in the paint where slate has a black, so look at it from that angle..

Right following a bit of detective work I found some pictures of the car. Its a press car and Chris harris drove one for some shots for channel 4's website. Looks too dark for metorite grey to me. I think its slate.

PS well done on the detective work [:)]

hi-definately NOT atlas grey
trust me-i`m a doctor[:D](with an atlas grey car!)
slate grey gets my vote
either way-very tasty motor!!

Agreed, I think its slate. On the video if you look closely the car goes slightly gold when the sun hits it and I read that slate has a gold flick in the paint. Also those pictures have probably had the levels tweeked to make the colours richer which would take the greys and blacks a bit darker.
