I removed steering wheel and cleaned years of built up dirt off. Then redye using Dynamix all in one dye. Looks like new now.

Tightened up the handbrake so it works on 4 clicks instead of looking up to the sky !

Fixing a sagging headliner is next job.

Just replaced gear gaiter boot. New frame ordered.

Had the drivers seat out to fix the electric seat mech

Got Autoglass coming today to repair stonechips or replace glass.
They are replacing the glass.

Been over to Paul Anderson for a few spares. Managed to source a rectangular analogue clock instead of the broken digital one. Cant wait to fit that. Will look cool compared to the cheapo digi one.
Will try and bleed brakes tomorrow.
Got rained off for most of today !

This is becoming more like a job diary thread !

fixed my sunroof changed the ports on the aircon from r12 to allow for r134 gas. plus placed two ads on eBay. one for a fireplace the other for a cooker[:)] owww and wiped the rain off the bodywork

Don't be coy Dave - you haven't mentioned you premiered your 928 at the R26 family day, thus doubling the usual turn-out of Porsche's finest front-engined, rear transaxle, V8 engined coupe. Good job!

Sounds great Dave.
Are you doing the 928.org run to Haynes in September?

Sorry for the delay.
Log on here http://www.928.org.uk/ and you'll get the emails.
Sunday 28/9, about 20 928s going (and 1 944 - that'll be me!)

dave928 are you taking the top of the engine off to paint it?? Jager engineering do a decal for the porsche 32v on clearance as well i think. I have a friend going to new york in a week. I was going to get them to buy me some stuff from pelican. if you would like anything let me know. it may work out cheaper. weight restrictions apply so no engines [:D]

No painting it in situ while air tubes, filter box and leads are off !
Everything is ceased on this car as nothing been changed for a while. Takes twices as long ! Had to remove rad as one of the ignition lead bracket bolts was graunched off and couldn't get any access with rad in place.. Bopped a bigger socket over it and it came off.
Thought I might aswell replace caps and arms while all off.

I did manage to paint it though today. Waiting for caps and arms now so I can start to put back together.

come on dave928 give us a picture of the painted finish[:D]

just changed my rear brake drums and did a wheel alignment and steam cleaned my engine
