What do we think of this Turbo?

Not seen it, full pinstripe is lovely though.

Usual caveats apply. What year were the belts done, for example? If it all stacks up it is well priced.

never seen it before but it looks well worth checking out - don't like the pinstripe though [:D]

Looks like a good car. I love that colour.
Pinstripe is not the best colour insode IMHO.

Usual checks for rust along sills and inside the inspection points behind plastic louvers in door shuts.

Check Chassis rails for signs of accident damage as well as screws holding front wings on. Options sticker in boot is also a good indicator for any rear end action.

been in contact with the seller, seems like there has been a bit of rust in the sills which has been repaired in the past.

also, this.

.hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Verdana } "The only rust that has happend on the car is inside the boot area down in the right hand well which has been repaired also inside the wheel arch in the same area, again repaired but in my opinion I would probably re-do this with metal if I kept the car for the future but is acceptable for now.The good thing about this is that it does not effect the bodywork from a cosmetic point of view and the original paint does not have to be disturbed. The car has pretty much not been touched or altered since new and the original paintwork looks great with a deep shine."

At least he's honest, but it's kinda put me off a bit. Views?

suggests it may have been repaired at some point? - would need checking out

Even if it needs about £2k worth of body works it still makes it pretty good value considering how it's priced, the spec, low mileage. It's got full SH apparently.
Definitely worth a visit I think.

Reapir in the right hand side of the boot?

I'm not sure I should post this because I may want to sell my car, but hey, in the interests of the community and all that.

I wouldn't be too worried, I have exactly this problem, and mine is currently at the bodyshop being sorted, and for a very reasonable cost too. See below.

So if you like the car, and you like the colour (I do) then I wouldn't let it put you off.

If it gets repaired properly then it shouldn't rust - I guess it's just a note of caution to try & find out exactly what was fixed & why....

FWIW, the boot sticker isn't always a reliable sign - Porsche repairers (Selbys of Nottingham in this case) can do some excellent work while retaining that all important sticker [:D].

Couldn't agree more. My car has a well-documented repair to the rear in it's history (AFN in London, IIRC), and the sticker is there. I'd be surprised if very many cars have managed to survive 20-plus years without a bit of bodywork and paint! By the same token, I'd guess that a fair few stickers have come off due to damp in the boot, rather than a new repair.

Unfortunately, such credence is put on the boot sticker that some may indeed have new boot stickers if the vendor appreciates the importance of such. []

Boot sticker is intact, I got him to reel off the options. It's pretty nicely spec'd.
