Hi folks hope you don't mind an intruder from another forum.
A friend wants to sell his SC but isn't a member and would like a bit of help from me to sell his car.
He is not a Porsche know it all so I said I'd get some decent advice from you guys on values etc.

Now I have only seen pics but the car looks in great condition 1983 SC in Guards red.
Black leather.
108,000 miles
electric/heated seats
factory electri sunroof
new tyres
ss sports exhaust
Private reg

Can you give us a guide on price?
Best place to sell, Porsche Post, here?

All help accepted gratefully.
Cheers
Gavin

Hi Gavin, as you know always hard to guess the market, prices are the lowest they've ever been for cars that need work but it makes people think the good SCs are a cheap buy too, so not a good time to sell but when will be?
8-10K for decent car but will need work sooner or later.
Above 10k (buying privately) will be a good runner with mountains of receipts and clean bodywork. Without seeing it but as described then 8995-10,500k.
If your friends car is a minter he could get 12-13k, history isn't as important as condition and receipts for loads of work. Offer it with a pre-sale inspection if it measures up, sell in all the usual places like PP and 911 & Porsche World, try Impact Bumpers website, PistonHeads, DDK and any other website you can think of.

Grand that's great, thanks.
Looks like a pretty good car from the pics I have seen and he has spent lot's on all sorts, sills etc etc.
Let's see how we get on!
Thanks again.
