Hi Guys

I have a mint 996 C2 2000 with 46K in cobault blue (see attached) that I may want to sell. Any pointers on value for this car given its milage, colour etc?

Cheers

James

I would guess somewhere between 29 - 31K assuming a full OPC service history, best to check autotrader to see what else is out there.
Also I would agree with Rossco, that if you have a warranty it will be easier to sell privatley.

It doesn't have a full Porsche warranty (yet) has full blacl leather interior etc.
Good feedback

sat nav?
sun roof?
park distance control?
sports suspension?
sports seats? heated? memory?
Sports exhaust?
carbon or Ali pack inside?

a lot of porkers out there are very basic and have little extras so please bare this in mind when pricing! the market seems to forget all these options which cost a bloody fortune when new!!

just my 2c as I looked around a lot of cars out there that were very basic and over priced!!

I have been in a very similar situation myself in the past, where I chose a load of options, however, when it comes to resale they have very little bearing on the value of the car. Following a valuation for trade in against an other BMW about three years later and dealing with the same salesman who sold me my car and initially, he allowed nothing for the £12,000 of extra's and merely said that all the optional extras do is make the car more desirable against other similarly priced cars which have a lower specification and has little effect on the value of the second-hand car.

So when you buy a car new you are shafted on depreciation as well as the cost of the extras!

Well I sold the car at the weekend; sad partings and all that. It is has been a great blast and I will be back with another soon...

Sold to a non OPC dealer; quick cash and all that. I could have got more privately but: 1. if I'd have waited it would have made it impossible to sell as I loved it so much 2. I hate jerking around with private ads and tyre kickers although it pays in the end.
