What is the original finish of the underside of floor pan on a 1976 911

I appreciate this is the wrong forum however, it seems to be far more active than the post 1973.

As far as I can tell (thoughrly cleaning a patch) the underside of my floor between the outer seem lines, is finished in a light grey rubberised textured finish (maybe a Wruth product ?), the body colour of the car is black A1A1.

My question: Is this correct I.e. underfloor and body colour being different ?

If possible could anybody please post a picture of the original (as it left the factory) underside of a standard 2.7 911 1974 - 1977.

Many thanks

Hi , I recently completed the restoration of my Oct 75 ( 76 MY ) 911 Lux and can help both answer your question and provide images. However right now I am in Shanghai on an overseas business trip so please give me a few days to locate/transfer the pics.
in summary the underfloor was never body colour however there was a level of 'overspray' down the very extreme outer sill areas from the factory paint process. The underfloor area was indeed treated with a light grey textured finish which in my case was fully exposed in excellent condition after a lengthy and careful clean .... I believe (but do not have any conclusive evidence ) that my car had been treated with some sort of 'aftermarket' protection from new , perhaps from Reading or the dealer , and for this reason the original surface condition has been preserved.

Mark ,
I have located 2 images that should be of interest .... unfortunately I do not consider myself qualified to upload onto this forum site .... if you are willing to share an email address then I can send to you in the old fashioned way !
