What oil to use?

Well, the factory fit is Mobil1 0W-40, but any of the specs shown in the handbook are acceptable.

Are you topping up (in which case you should use the same make/grade that's already in there) or filling with fresh?

Top up with whatever is in it now.

Oil change - as Mark says all those int he handbook are OK to use - there is an approved oils list that you should find on a search for 'approved oil' . Lots to choose from

All depends on the use and current oil consumption - personally i think 0-40 is too thin, your engine wear might dictate soem more like 5-40 or thicker. Send a PM to 'oilman' on here or visit the opieoils website for an enquiry form and free advice .

I have motorsport grade Mobil 1 15w50 in mine from the last service. Seems absolutely fine - 64k miles doesn't use a drop - except that which it vapourises on start-up every now and then.

I got the impression from somewhere that 0w40 was being dropped?
