Hi i have a 2001 73000 mile Boxster S, Only drive about 30miles daily, very early start (COLD) for work, i've been reading and searching on line for what oil, some say 0W 40 others 5W 40, had 10W 40 to, it currently has Triplex QX 5W 40 judging by the history.
thanks for your help!

I think the oil you mention (tripleQX) is the 'own brand' of the largest car parts supplier. Generally sniffed at by most, but without much reason.
I like a 5W at the cold end and 40 at the hot end for an M96 engine. Hartech seem to support this following their tests.
Mobil have a 5W40 '3000' which is fully synthetic. A good choice... And it's Mobil, so Porsche are happy!
Owing to the reduction in friction reducing additives, some then add these back in. Companies like Millers have them for free! - but this is only important for older air cooled motors in my opinion.
So Mobil 3000, unless you want some clever oil - then you might go for Millers.
