What optional extras has your car got

I assume most of us havent had our cars from new so i was wondering what options were fitted when the car was new. I have an 84 model 944 and going by the manual the options fitted were as follows.

Electric Sunroof
Electric Passenger Mirror
215/60 Tyres (Strange thing to have as an option)
Power Steering but not sure if thats standard equip
some other options but am unable to source what they are.

To double check the options there should be a build sticker in the spare wheel well in the boot and also one in the service manual. This has lots of three figure codes on it.

Check them against the Options list in the Garage Shop Manual section of http://www.clarks-garage.com/

Having just looked mine up recently as well, here' s the list:
Cloth door panels (not very exciting!)
Windshield - green graduated tint
Insignia " 16 Ventiler"
Sunroof
Divided rear seat (do they come any other way?)
Seats all cloth

Also, I have several codes that I couldn' t find listed anywhere - C48, G16, G27. Anyone know what these mean?

This is actually quite a complex subject, as some items that were factory build options were fitted as standard on UK cars. To further complicate the picture, ' standard UK' options differed on different models and in different years.

Perhaps there is an opportunity here for a definitive survey of who has what ?

Regards

Jonathan

I don' t know which items were in fact ' standard' for a 1990 car, but listed as options on the sticker I have :-

220 Limited Slip Diff
288 Headlight washers
383 Sport seat left with elec height adjustment
387 Sport seat right with elec height adjustment
490 Sound Package
533 Alarm System
573 Air Conditioning
593 ABS
605 Vertical headlight adjustment
650 Sunroof
946 Leather / leatherette seats

There does seems to be quite a variation in what is standard and what is an option. For example, on my ' 88 S, the headlight washers, headlight adjustment, PAS and electric mirrors don' t appear on the options list although the car has them. On the other hand, ' Heating' is listed as an ' option' on the Clarks-Garage list! [:D]

Mine has the following options listed on the sticker.

288 Headlight washers
490 Sound Package
526 Door panels covered with cloth
533 Alarm system
593 Anti-lock brakes
605 Vertical headlamp adjustment
650 Sunroof
990 Seats all cloth

All pretty standard - I guess some of these items are listed just because there is no default - e.g. I assume " door panels covered with cloth" really means not leather (or are there cars out there without anything covering the door panels?) I' m surprised the body colour and interior colour are not specified.
