what revs does everyones boost start kick in on their 1991-1992 964 turbo, eg to show on the boost digital gauge and what revs do you acheive maximum boost

Fourth gear, up hill to create plenty of load, fully open throttle from 1,000rpm - 0.1 bar registers around 1600rpm, 0.7 bar (maximum the boost gauge sender knows about) by 2,600rpm.

All starts to happen very quickly from there onwards!

i must have a leak then as i start registering around 2800 and full around 3.5-4k ill check it again but its definitely not at 0.7 bat at 2600 revs that must be some power

Remember the figures I quoted are in a high gear under load; if I repeat the exercise in 2nd gear I don't see anywhere near the same results - the revs rise so quickly that it becomes difficult to make anything meaningful of the boost levels.

A good example to prove this is that I had a leaking pipe from the turbo to intercooler that presented itself as an unwillingness to pull hard in 4th gear a little above the national speed limit and 0.4 bar pressure yet in second it would wind round to the limiter and display 0.7 bar all day.

I note from another post that you also have a Heyward and Scott exhaust - mine is absolutely stock apart from a zucz powerflow inlet tract and air filter that a PO fitted. Maybe the H&S has different characteristics.

ok took it for a drive today and got full 0.7 bar boost at 2900- 3000 revs in 2nd gear
i do have a haywad and scott exhaust had alook at it on the ramp todayand both manifolds have seperate pipes which join together directly at the turbo

You need to carry out the test in 4th gear to get any meaningful results. 1,000 rpm, full throttle, watch the boost gauge.

As I posted earlier, it don't mean a whole lot in 2nd.
