Parked up in Sackville Street, behind Regent Street in broad daylight. I must have parked there literally 100's of times over the past 20 years and none of my cars have ever been touched.

If I'm lucky, it's just the lacquer which is scratched, I don;t think it goes through the paint. I found a battered penny nearby on the road which may have been what was used.

Bastards! I think you will find it's a bumpers off and repaint job, it will buff up and look better but I doubt if it will be good enough.

I'd be gutted if that was done to mine so you have every sympathy. What an odd part of the car to attack though - hard to access unless bent double in the middle of the road (assuming the car was parked as pictured) and very targeted to the bumpers. Almost makes me wonder whether it is actually a fan of 911's but someone who finds the larger bumpers on the 964 offensive in some way.

Hope you are able to sort it out without too much expense. Since London is covered in CCTV I don't suppose the police felt inclined to check for evidence?

Cheers
Mick

I don't think they have time/resources to bother which such 'petty' crime, I just had the Police on the phone to me now progressing things. I think it's up to me to pop down there & see if there is any CCTV about that I can tell them about.

As Mick says above, to do both front and rear bumpers like that is very odd! CCTV, if there is any, would be interesting just from the point of view of solving the mystery of what went on.

That's shocking
Check CCTV there must be some for that street - but quickly as when someone reversed into my lasrt 911 found they often only keep for a month
Worth a try

Makes no sense. If in daylight, someone would have seen a 2ft person attacking the car. If it did not know better I would suspect one of those van road kerb cleaners with the flailing brushes. I have seen them dodge around parked cars in London before. Whatever, a sorry sight to return to. Good luck in getting it sorted. At least the metal body is untouched as I can see it.

This is terrible. This is someone which can not imagine that you can't touch someone's Porsche. These kind of stuff can upset your whole week.
Its good that's only scratches, but still....I would be extreme angry if that was done to mine. I hope you are well insured and might get your money to pay for the damage.
You have my sympathy, Hiranjgarbh K K Missier

Kerb cleaner kind of makes sense

Why go to the bother and time for all that on bumpers when one scratch along car cold cause a lot more damage?

Makes the parking scuff I came back to on my BMW bumper almost inconsequential

Flogging is to good for them!

Does look like kerb cleaner, I would look for cctv and put claim into company. My neighbour had his car hit by bin lorry who did not stop, contacted council and had claim fully paid with no hastle
Worth the effort after all would need to do full bumper to match

"You can polish that out..."

Two grades of liquid polish and 20 minutes with an orbital buffer, and 99.9% of the scratches are gone. If you look very closely, a few inches away, there is still one mark on the back and 3 or 4 on the front, but the front will need painting again sooner or later anyway.

Hell of a relief actually:
