What spacers if any for ET55 7"&9" wheels?

Time to consult the oracle.

Just bought some 17" twist wheels for the 944 S2 cab I own, all 4 wheels are ET 55 whereas on the back of my 944 the wheels are ET52. ALso the new wheels are 1" wider at the back.

Do I need a slim spacer for the back?

Thanks in advance

Kev - new Porsche owner and happy so far.....

I assume the shims are to stop catching on full lock???

Where is the best (read cheapest) place to obtain said shims?

Kev

The shims are to place the wheel in the right place as the suspension geometry is designed to work with. If the wheel is too far inboard or outboard then your handling will suffer.

I got my shims from Jasmine Motorsport for £25, but you can get them from various places.

I have a pair of 5mm shims from my 911 that i did not use if interested i had them made some other spacers incase i needed them but only needed them on the front of the car, £15? if interested

Regards

Wayne
