I had that rear spoiler on my facelift MY2002 996, it really lifted the look of the car. It's not part of 'GT3 bodykit' as described - although the rest is.

Looks like the original factory fitted 996 Carrera spoiler... try this link to the options pages from the original brochure...

I'd agree with Sean it's from the Tequipment Catalouge as the "Carrera Rear Spoiler"

It was avalible for all cars (post facelift only in combination with a front lip spoiler) on it's own Part number 996 512 903 00 G2X primer coated £4188.49 inc VAT

or for 911 up to 07/01 as part of the full "Aerokit Carrera" kit as fitted to this car

000 044 801 89 (rear spoiler, front spoiler, side skirts and GT side trims) £5725.99 inc VAT (kit price as seperately the parts come to £6294.81)

Aha, so that's what it looks like off of the car!

I'm going to keep my eye on the bay for an original lid with that spoiler then I think.

I take it you have to de-activate the stock raising spoiler / lid? Will that affect cooling at all?

[FONT=arial"]I swapped mine for a conventional lid/spoiler when I bought my Targa - it didn't look quite right on aTarga! Make sure you get the wiring loom and 3rd brake light (the non spoiler one) blanking plate with it if you purchase. Your 3rd brake light will only be the one fitted to your new spoiler.
Also, on facelift models don't forget you require a 'lip'' spoiler underneath the front bumper for stability purposes.
