Did a search and seems to be about every 12 months that one of these threads pop up in the 996 sub fora so figured it may as well be me []
So, just picked up my new (to me) 996 C2 Cab, and its lovely, but i have noticed that the tire noise at motorway speeds is damn loud.
It's got Porsche Sport Classic Design 18" wheels with Pirelli P Zero Rosso's on all corners (225/40 ZR18's front 285/30 ZR18's back) and all look to have only a few thousand miles on them if that (not sure how old they are though, was a bit too cold to go looking for dots)
whats the general opinion on that combo? and what pressures do people run them at here?
I have previously run Bridgestone Potenza's on my old aircooled and on my 370Z and found them much quieter (admittedly they also weren't cabs and it was in a much hotter country than the UK)
