What to do with my exhaust??

997London

New member
Hi just had a PSE fitted on my 997 S Gen1. It sounds amazing and was definatly a great decision, sounds now like it always should have done.

I got the OPC to put the original in my boot to take home. Just wondering what to do with it now, I could try and sell it (55 plate with 12k miles) would it be worth anything and where would it try and sell it.

Or could keep it incase buy anothe gen 1 997 and then could put it back on this car and transfer the PSE to the new car, saving me £1,350.

Or could take it to tip to avoid cluttering up the garage and annoying the mrs.

Anyone been in same position any advice?

My OEM 997 Turbo exhaust is sitting in the garage too after I fitted a Cargraphic one. I too am unsure what to do with it. If I keep going though with mods I will soon have a spare car in the garage [:D]

I did the same with my gen1 997 and the original exhaust has been gathering dust in my garage. I have offered it on this site for a very small consideration or even nothing but have had no takers!!

Well done on the upgrade [8D]

I can remember another member who had his old system for sale a while back, not alot of interest was recieved and I dont't think he ever did sell it. [:(]
Might be worth a shot on ebay- I hear they will buy anything on there [;)]
or else it could be the store it if required route...
Finally, scraps worth money again- so you might get a £20 cash in...

as with most upgrades you would never have any problem disposing of the upgrade, but very few(if any it seems!)are interested in the original(however good the condition).i have never had any success in trying to shift standard gear at any price!-and the garage is quite full as i cant bring myself to tip it[:D]

Hi Nigel,

You've got to keep it! Don't just give it away - unless you're strapped for space! (Or cash). There'll come a day when someone will want it and you'll be chuffed with the cash and the fact that it's not gone to waste.

It can be a pain hoarding stuff - I'm forever tripping up over my various '57 'strats, original Apple Recordings vinyl Beatles stuff, Ferrari F50's, etc. the list is endless....[:D]

Ebay is your friend. They often crop up there, or sell it to one of the sports exhaust companies that simply modify existing exhausts (e.g Oettle)
