Hi Folks,
Slight change in title but same topic - I copied this over from the 3.2 forum as there's probably a lot more 930 owners who need the same size tyre for their 9x16 rears: -
I have Goodyear GSD3 on my fronts (205's on 7's) but Goodyear do not make 245/45 16's to fit on my soon to be fitted 9x16 fuchs.

So far my search for suitable 245/45 16's tyres has only come up with a limited selection - Toyo TR-1, Conti SC's, Bridgstone S03, Falken 451's & - my question is what 245's are people using and/or which would you recommend?
Cheers

I use the SO3's on mine, i've had no issues, even with nearly 500bhp. I've read that you can get a wider tyre on there but haven't done much research

I have 8x16 and 9x16 fuchs on my 930.

I use Goodyear F1 GS- D2's both front and rear
Front 225/45 x 16 and rear 245/45 x16. These are matched and offer superb grip.
Cost is about £115 each if you shop around - I use Setyres.

Need to buy 2 new fronts tomorrow - big moment today when throttle locked full open as going for big overtake in 3rd. Dump into 4th and saw 120mph+ come up all to quickly. Big stamp on brakes etc etc - suffice to say there is no tread left on a 6inch patch on each tyre!! At least I and the car survived (just)....and despite the flat spots the tyres held up.

regards - Simon

Hi Simon, Thx for the info
When did you purchase your goodyeard and do you know if Setyres still have Goodyear 2's 245/45 16's in stock, when I contacted Goodyear direct they said they didn't supply them to the UK!

Fingers crossed just posted an enquiry with Setyres

Cheers

b***** hell, just checked bills and it was back in 9/04 when I bought my last (second) set of 245's (£110 each plus VAT).

I need to call Setyres tomorrow for my 225's so will ask re 245's at same time.

Interesting I cannot see 245's widely listed, but have found them via quick
Google search at:

A bit more than the £115, but at £130 not too bad.

With some luck and endurance I would hope you will be successful.

best regards - Simon
