P.S. I dont know this seller but thought some of you guys might appreciate the chance of a cheap but good quality pair of driving boots.[:)]

Size 7 [:(] I wish my feet were that small as they look quite nifty for a tenner

I just use a pair of trainers. Mcnulters has a lovely pair of pixie boots when he goes Kart racing [:)]

Paid £20 for them, proper racing booties! Have to say they're better than trainers, but won't wear them in the car. You look a complete twit when you get out to go shopping in Tesco wearing racing boots, as if getting out of a red Porsche isn't going to draw enough attention! []

And the soles of (proper) racing boots are so thin that you will wear them out in next to no time if you walk around in them.

My favourite boots look great as the side of the right foot is all worn due to heel and toeing. How cool is that? [:D] Also they are black so don't look quite so stupid in Tescos on the very odd occaision I have worn them away from the track.

My general car shoes are HiTec Squash trainers but I will pretty much drive in what ever I have on at the time - including safety boots. Safety boots do tend to be a bit expensive in petrol though. [&:]

Size 7 [:(] . Speaking as someone with stupidly small feet, I know that those would be simply too loose to allow me any feel of the pedals. (Yes, if I had feet fractionally smaller I would fit children's shoes, and not pay VAT on them ... )

I find that a pair of Converse Allstars can double up as a pretty good driving shoe. Thin soles, canvas construction, lots of laces so they can be done up quite tight. And they don't look too daft when walking 'round Aldi.

OK, I've amended my post! (But would add that this is a Porsche forum ... if you are spending so much on your car that you can't afford to eat, I'd question your priorities!)

Oli, bit spooky, but we appear to share the same taste in boots, except mine are green and black ones...

Can't quite believe I'm contributing to a footwear thread.....[8|][:D]

LMAO, it's mostly the diesel that's killing me though. Today's tankful cost more than the van's worth.......[]

With better MPG and petrol being cheaper, I've thought about using the 944 for work instead of the van. Need that pickup conversion done! [8|]

Nick,

Those aren't actually my shoes ... it's just a random piccie from t'interweb! Mine happen to be blue, because there were no green ones in my size when I bought them ...

Paul - yes. I am finding myself wondering whether diesel cars do actually offer any aconomy benefits over petrol ones, given the (current) astronomical price of derv. I recall when it was dirt cheap, and no-one used it ... back when I were a lad, eh?

You guys have obviously been to see the 'Sex and the City' movie - you're obsessed with footwear (but not a stilletto in sight [&o] )

I filled my van last week and broke the £100 barrier for the first time ever [] . I'm sick as a parrot, I've owned Porsches for 9 years and the first £100 tank is a bl00dy van [:(], the shame of it

Paul, it's nothing to be proud of.

Be ashamed that you live in a country with the highest tax take on transport fuels in the world ...

I seem to have the same choice in hoof covers too although mine are Blue and white although I don't really like them, good for driving but I think they're uncomfortable for walking in.
