I started this thread over on the Rennteam forum and got some good responses. Thought I'd re-open the thread here...

My fiancée got me a mini Porsche LED torch for a little valentines present the other day.

You can unscrew the cap and re-charge it in the cigarette lighter socket in the car and even close the compartment whilst it's charging.

I think it's awesome, much better than the standard leather Porsche badge (albeit a lot chunkier)!!

What do you guys have on your keyrings?

Alex, that torch was my one and only freebie from my collection experience..[:D]

Sadly just a Cocoa key fob for me.. that I've oddly never photographed..[;)]

i used to have a boring leather porsche keyring but its my birthday tomorrow and i may just get an led keyring[:D]

993 key comes with the torch built into the key head![:D]

Must admit that Porsche LED one looks good - might have to get one for the "other car" key ring....

Warning: the LED torch is very chuncky and much bigger than it looks in the photos.

I really like that though [:D] [:D] [:D]

It also looks really cool when on charge.. it glows dimly [:D]
It also fits in the cigar ashtray pretty damn well.

Your torch looks lovely and I would dearly love one, but having just found 9 lipsticks in the bottom of my handbag I doubt if it would fit in [&:][&:][&:][:D][:D][:D]

At the moment, a Subaru key fob on one, a Commercial Vehicle Lost Keys tag on another, and around 20 sets of keys to customers properties with little labelled tags.....[8|]

And a Porsche fob on the 944 key. [:)]

I suffer with having far too many key rings and too many keys in a handbag that is far too big!! So everytime I look for my key I end up with the wrong set. The key rings are rather dull though, a boring Porsche key ring for the Porsche key, a Lexus fob for the Lexus keys and a new york empire state fob and a Maldives one for the work keys, and finally (I promise) a "totally addicted to my cat" one for my parents keys. No wonder the handbag is so heavy. And NO I HAVE NOT PHOTOGRAPHED ANY OF THEM EITHER!!!
I am rather jealous of the torch, but I bet you haven't got a head torch with Led lights to use whn sorting the horse out in the dark!!!![:-]

Why not read 'The Moon's a Balloon' by David Niven to see what he kept in his officer cadets' pouch when the Commandants' orderly at Sandhurst. Hilarious [:D].

"head torch with Led lights "

i have ,but for ent surgery!!nothing as exciting as horsing around[:D]

Alex

I bought one of those LED torches, mine is complete rubbish and has never worked from day one, no matter how long it is in the cigarette lighter..[]

Never got round to handing it back to the OPC...[:'(]

So my keyring just has the standard issue red leather keyfob....

When you say standard issue, you would not believe the hassle I had trying to get them to issue me with a Brown Keyfob !!
Black was fine for them, but not for me..

I have got one of those head band LED torches and I think they are excellent for working in dark places like in the engine compartment. There are two blue-white LED's and a red one so you can read things at night without losing your night vision. and only £5.99 from Ha*f***s.

Too right, a black keyfob would not go with that lovely Cocoa interior of yours.....

Well, seeing as the OPC sales people only want you to order a silver or black car, so they can have an easier time re-selling them, I guess they feel a brown keyfob will affect the resale value more so than the standard black keyfob..... hehehehe[:D][;)]

just got the standard 993 key with built-in torch. However, the torch button and spring are ling gone... as is most of the enamel on the Porsche crest... looks like I could do with a really nice L.E.D. torch keyfob...
Any ideas?

Just got one of those lovely 'little' torches. You were right about them being chunky - it's like carrying a house brick in your pocket... except really rather posh!

I have friends that since seeing my torch have subsequenty bought the same for themselves or presents for others. None of whom even own a Porsche!!

I love it; makes an annoying badly designed key - special [:D]
