Sounds like you're still busy Martin! I haven't seen your car for ages, I look forward to seeing it with all the new improvements.

Just done a suspension refresh on mine, a new exhaust fitted (janspeed), front plate lift sorted out and it's driving better than ever! Sorting out the front bumper the next thing on my list.

968 Cab.

New top.
New tonneau
Door panels fixed.
Driver seat outer bolster fixed.
Boot carpet tidied.

I did not know Janspeed did an exhaust?? Is it Stainless?

Yes it is stainless and a good replacement for the original one. Mine was suffering from the common split back box. It improves the sound on start up and isn't too loud when driving. Mine is from the cat back.

I thought they were not making any more, have you had it on the shelf for a while?

and what was the cost and where did you get it?

as there is a brand new genuine Porsche one on eBay for £700, OPC price £1500

On 968UK a good while back we tried for another Janspeed group buy - without success. Seems Janspeed are no longer interested in making 968 cat back exhausts, even with a guaranteed order of 5 or more. The most successful after market exhaust system recently seems to be the one that Ken Coad had for his CS - although that was a full system and considerably more than those lucky enough to get a Janspeed cat back system on the first group buy paid!

BTW, the original Porsche 968 exhaust system is stainless, even the black painted exhaust tip - take a flap wheel to it and it turns shiny silver!!

Sorry I should have said, it's new to me but secondhand. The original wasn't going to get through the MOT this year, I would love to get one from JC Weldfab (the company that did Ken's exhaust) but I need the funds for a new clutch this year and the Janspeed became available.

I now have all the bits and a crimp tool to make a set of nice blue Accuspark high performance ignition leads using the old end caps and plug caps, total cost of about £15

just dont put clubsport on the side of the skip, mistakes are easily made........

come on hurry up get the thing on the drive.. (not the skip, thats already there)

The Club Sport stickers are coming off mate!! They are hideous and, no mistake [:'(]!! They would look the part on a Corsa or, Saxo though methinks.........[8|].

Stainless Creations in Falkirk do custom 968 exhausts. They have a 968 so have done quite a few including my system. Pictures on their site. I am sure they will ship if you ask nicely.
