Next little job is to re glue the vinyl to the panel above the rear seat back which covers the sunroof catches etc.
It'd become detached most of the way round the edge due to leaking sunroof, now fixed(fingers crossed)

I remember a thread a while back - guess the number of clothes pegs to needed to clip round the edge of the panel, but
can't recall mention of the type of adhesive. Any recommendations chaps ?

Upholstery spray glue

like this type of thing

saves the need fro the cloths pegs.

Gorilla glue.

Forget spray adhesive as it loosens as the roof of the car gets hot. One thing to remember with gorilla glue is it expands so don't be too liberal with it otherwise you will find it all over the place, I speak form experience as it was me with the clothes pegs. These were actually on my sunroof panel, I used gorilla glue around the outside and spray glue in the centre and can you guess what's happened? yep I need to unpick the edges and use the gorilla glue across the whole panel.

Ha Ha I to have been that eleventy 2 pegs soldier..... so stupid and funny looking , then I hopped a few paper staples onto the roof side overlap thing bit...Jobs a gudun

Thanks chaps, I actually went with an Evo type contact adhesive which has worked a treat. I did it in sections as I
only had 80 pegs to hand - reckon you'd need a couple of hundred to do in one hit.

Interestingly, I had tried some foam backed carpet/PU tile spray, but it didn't seem to hold. I think it was too 'thin' and soaked into
the fibre board.

Just need to do the same with the 'C' pillar trim before refitting.
