What's the switch for?

Will get a pic up tomorrow if needed, in the meantime in my new square dash ([8D]) there's the switches just by the ash tray for left/right mirror, headlight wash and rear wiper.

There's another switch and the picture makes it look like a fog light switch. However there's already one of those under the three gauges in the middle and this switch doesn't do anything that I can tell.

It's not in the manual either. Anyone have any idea what it does?

Hi Andy
It puts the driving lights - the ones in the bumper - on , but only with main beam.
I leave it on so there is something.g to flash with!

Hope this one hangs around longer.

Thanks Mike, hadn't tried that combination yet!

This one WILL be hanging around![:)] It's exactly what I was looking for and found (embarrassingly) 2 months ago, so I'm back to where I should have been! Still just getting settled in with her but it ticks all the boxes for me. I'm looking forward to ownership. Right...best I get my avatar changed!!

ejector seat switch ?[:D]

I've always wanted to fit some bright led type switches so I can see them at night. I'm forever locking the doors or putting the roof up instead of operating the rear wipe etc grrrrrrrr[:(]

Nick - at least on the oval dash cars the switches can be seen from the drivers seat , on the early cars they are behind the gearlever facing forward - memory test every time!

[:D][:D] you feel such a plonker driving along with your rear wiper on and it hasn't rained for 4 weeks [:(]

Ive always thought it odd that you can turn the driving lamps on and off in a series one car, but not in a series two...

...and that's why there's two main beam lights on the dash!! Sussed that out on a drive tonight, been trying to work that one out all day[:D]

Yes, but to add a little more confusion; Porsche didnt include the second blue tell-tale lamp on all cars.....

I'm going to go and play with my car tomorrow! I don't often find out what switches are until I need them ... lights, wipers, indicators are all you need, right?? [:D]

It's a 'Birthday Switch'. If you press it and it's your birthday, it releases balloons and streamers and plays "Happy Birthday To You" on the radio.

(So if I pressed it today, it would be very appropriate! [:D])
