Whats this plate worth ?

Hi all

A friend of mine has 911 KDX on retention - was going to put it on his new 996 but has been tempted by the dark side (new M5)

Any ideas what he should ask for it ?

Ro.

'911' plates are always fairly sought after, particularly non-dating ones.

However, 'KDX' is pretty obscure.

If selling privately, c.£1,500 would be a good starting point, advertised in the various Porsche publications. If he is lucky, he might get several interested buyers, then he can get them to compete with their best offers.

Alternatively, he could put it on Retention and hold onto it for when he returns to 911 ownership.

check the DVLA website, where you can review the prices paid for ALL plates ever sold at their auctions. They always include a half dozen 911 plates, as they always fetch good money (I would estimate £2500 for any non-year 911 plate).

Hi Julian

I am prepared to offer £1000 for this plate plus transfer costs, please advise your friend.
I am contactable on H01234 216978 M07773 299654 if he wishes to accept my offer.

Thank you
