7:30 ish on the A3 coming into London this morning. Hot already, but 3/4 of the Boxsters had their roofs closed[][]

Why buy a soft top & not use it??

Explain please?

Wasn't me!

I drove home at around 10pm last night with the hood down, heater on and my new Franz Ferdinand CD up loud!!

I can understand that for some of those owners either "thin up top" or, lets say, "of an English Rose complexion" (I am neither BTW) hood down in the blazing sunshine is not that nice.

Why buy a soft top & not use it??

The best time to use it is on clear, dry, sunny and cold autumn/winter/spring days with the heater on full and a wooly hat on. Now THAT is what a soft top is for!!

Possibly the same reason my wife keeps the roof up on her Alfa Spider in the mornings -exhaust fumes in stop-start traffic from other vehicles!!

BTW, it's for sale......MY2000, Rosso Red, AC, ABS, 29,000m ÂŁ9,950. [;)]

I can claim to at least one of those categories and can assure everyone that it presents no problem with a cabriolet (as I have said before, I never drive with the hood up) - at the risk of sounding patronising: a baseball cap is all that is needed[8D] (and the shades of course)

Hey, Admin is da man!![:D][:D][:D]

Right tho. A flying pal of mind spent a long time in Dubai wind surfing in his free time. Now in his late 60's he has had one tumour removed from his head and insists on wearing a ridiculous white floppy hat.....however....

Had my roof down at every opportunity until the bloomin rain started!

Looks a bit sad with the roof up now after 3 1/2 glorious sunny days!

[:(]

They drive better "topless" somehow.[8D]

I wonder how long it would take..................[:D]

I can't put the top down because the wife requires 3 weeks written notice to get her hair in order for the wind blowing it about [] kinda defeats the who purpose of a convertible which is spontaneity!

I can't think why I got that name but it's kind of stuck now, so I may as well play the role as well as I can[:D]

Who tried to edit my last post by the way?[&:]
