Me - last year :
£4k on big service - new brake discs, tyres and one alloy wheel.£1200 insurance.£2000 fuel. Total- £7200

This year - £1200 annual service. £1400 for new intercooler pipes + repair minor oil leak. £1300 insurance. £2200 fuel. Total £6100

Tad expensive I think - plus depreciation on top of that.

Its a '95 993 TT - is it just me or does anyone else fork out as much??[&:][&:][&:]

Isn't the 993 TT probably the most expensive regular production Porsche to service? (aside from models like the 959 and Carrera GT etc)

I don't think it will get any better. I have budgeted between £2k & £3k for servicing per year and I probably don't do half the miles you do! It's one the worlds premier supercars and you should expect to treat it as you would Claudia Schiffer. Lots of Love, Lots of Care, Lots of sparkly things and that all costs lots of money. Just be thankful you don't have to shell out like Simon George does on his Murcielago in this months EVO magazine . . . As Forrest Gump might say "Expensive is as Expensive does"

we have almost an identical stable, swap the ducati for a jeep and a newly acquired M3 and the bills soon add up........................
BUT hey,, , you get used to the everyday taste of beans on toast !!!!!!!
plus the face that on a recent trip to the ring i wore out a rear bearing on the TT, other bits and pieces are gettin sorted.....
Try living in ireland..now thats expensive my friend

Since I bought mine in April 2004 spent similar on servicing:
New rear discs, front tyres and bits May 2004 £1193
Annual service and reat tyres Nov 2004 £1194
Front end respray to remove chips £800
My insurance £800
I have no idea about fuel
But - I think cheap to run because I recon its worth what I paid for it so nil depreciation and this has got to be the biggest factor.
In comparison my wifes 330ci BMW has dropped about £9k in 12 months and cost about £1200 in servicing and tyres.
Its all in the mind....
