Highly recommend then. (no association with them either)

they have laser alignment and all the Porsche settings on file.
They charged me under £30 to check my 987S with PASM and adjust one of the wheels back into spec. I'd say they were as good as an OPC would do.
If you something more bespoke / exact (as in take a whole day over it) then go to centre gravity.
#1 Center Gravity - they use Beissbarth technology which is insanely accurate.
Chris just got some new wheel center mounts for the kit which are a huge jump in accuracy over the standard clamps that go over each wheel.
#2 Parr - unsure what they use but they prep the Porsche Cup cars so can't be bad!
The Porsche factory and OPC are no places to have your geometry set! As you can see from the below factory settings (in red) there are large ranges.
Porsche will only check that each wheel is within that range. They won't align the car more accurate than this which can mean you have one wheel set at one end of the range and another wheel at the opposite end.
So I would ALWAYS go and get one of these 2 companies to check and adjust your geometry on a new car. It will easily be the best money you spend and will transform your driving experience.

I just want to get rid of the front end jitterness and wander when on uneven roads. When on decent tarmac, car feels ok..however, I am sure it would probably feel better if adjusted.

Ive noticed that the car is a little less composed at on poorer road surfaces. A small amount of wander.
Presumably it is the time to get the alignment checked out??
Any recommendations / VFM in the North West ?
Thanks
R&D Automotive in Eccles near Manchester. Nigel (one of the directors) used to work at Porsche Wilmslow (I think he said Wilmslow - my apologies if I got it wrong mate!) and was fully Porsche-trained on 911s. Their philosophy is to have all the specialist tooling and equipment the dealers have and to do the same job (properly) at half the stealer labour rate. I know they recently invested in the same Beissbarth computer laser aligner that Porsche dealerships use and will be able to do anything from a quick 'tweak' to a full 4-wheel alignment. These guys have looked after three consecutive Porsche's for me (2 x 996s and my current 997S) and I can't recommend them highly enough. 0161 789 3555.
I've seen lots of recommendations so thought I'd try them out - sent over a bunch of info by email.
First conversation with Chris really impressed me with his attention to detail and interest in creating a balance that suits your driving style.
I'll let you know more after I've been if you are untested
Parr was the other one I was considering but I think there further south (good for me, not so good for you).
