Wheel alignment

Hi, Finally got my car together after replacing the front control arm bushes, refurbishing the brake callipers and replacing brake lines. I now need to get the alignment checked as despite marking the old position of the elliptical bolts I think the driver’s side was set wrong initially as I was suffering from uneven tyre wear. Just spoken to the Porsche Centre in Cambridge about an alignment check and they quote the job as 2.5hrs costing £196+VAT. Does anybody know if this is typical? Would a good independent be able to complete the work? Many thanks Doug
