Wheel Arch Liners

On the list of jobs for the weekend was to strip out the front wheel arch liners and clean up the arches. Dear lord, could Porsche have used more fixings. Needless to say the lower screws and bolts were frozen solid, along with the clips. Does anybody have any tricks to get past these? If the metal brackets brake, can they be replaced by themselves? Or are they welded to the car? Thanks, Andrew.
