Wheel caps and theiving toerag

Walking past my car this morning on the way to work i noticed that some thieving little toerag (i really want to use something far more vulgar here but feel i should refrain to respect the forum rules) has stolen both of the wheel caps from my passenger sides wheels. On top of that they have tried for a third and succedded in only scratching and ruining my alloy. Why?!?! What did they achieve, its not like they are any use to them? Unless they wear them round their necks on chains like those rappers!

And now i am left to stump up however much it costs to replace them. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get some replacements, cheaply if possible. I have the plain ones (ie with no colours).

Cheers
Sid

A common problem.[] If I know that I'll be parking up somewhere vunerable, I swap the caps for some grotty plastic ones. If you use the locking type, they'll probably destroy the valve trying to remove the cap. I beleive that the caps will fit some types of bicycle valves, hence why they nick them. Usually plenty on eBay (possibly yours).

Oops, in my anger and annoyance this morning, i have managed to write my post in a confusing manner. Its not the valve covers that were nicked but instead the center cover of the Cup ( i think thats what they are) wheels i have on there at the mo. The little round disc thing with the porsche logo on it is what has been nicked.

Maybe only confusing to me? I have always wondered why the centre caps have those 2 little holes to aid the thieving b"£$%^&s

I have a full set of 4 original Porsche black/silver caps from my 968 cup 1's surplus to requirements - just swopped for coloured ones. In excellent undamaged condition - will email photo if you'd like. PM me an offer if you're interested!
