Hi

Just noticed I've lost a crested wheel center from my rear 17"cup. a) where would be the place place to obtain a replacement? and b) does anyone know how they are attached? looks like the old one may have been glued with some kind of silicon.

hi i got a set a while ago from www.forestfine.com/porsche they were about £80.00 for four, i think !.
i got plastic ones with coloured centres, they dont rust ! & with a thick cloth & big wooden mallet you tap them in,
i am pleased with mine , they do mail order.

Hi Richard,

I had a lot of trouble with loosing the crests out of my wheel centres. The crests were falling out of the round disc part that you click into place. Eventually I got a new set (under warranty, luckily) and pulled all the crests out of the discs and scored the back of the crest and the resessed bit on the disc where the crest sits with a sharp tool. This gave a good "key" for gluing - I then Araldited them back on and kept the four discs in the house for 24 hours so that they were completely set. So far I have not lost another crest! This is the only way that I can get this to work, the silicone stuff just isn't strong enough and you will almost definately loose your (expensive) crests again! It felt odd ripping the brand new crests apart, but it is for the best! Hope this helps! Adrian.

A commom problem with plastic wheel centres. I've tried Araldite and other types of glue. All to no avail. Eventually secured all four on with silicone.
You can buy the crests off e bay. The last time I looked I think theyt were about £7 each.
Hope this helps.
