wheel colour change?

cococola

New member
Hi can any of you clever people with photo colour changing show any pics of cup alloys with the wheel spokes as grey in colour and the outside rim remaining silver.
I have seen some volvo c30 alloys that had this combination and they look super.
cheers!

Not sure wheather to keep them silver or go with the grey centre?
I quite like the grey so a straw pole yes or no grey centres[8|]

I think why not? As long as it doesn't look chavvy or simply rubbish. I think the grey with polished rim on grey looks great.

I think it looks good, though possibly grey is a little light to get the full effect. I did it on my 964 which was cobalt blue and most people seemed to like it, though a few didn't. That's as good as you'll ever get of course, and really so long as you like it yourself is all that really matters.

Have to say, they look superb. (A comment which is contrary to my usual "Standard at all costs" outlook on 944's, but in my defence I will say I like Cup 1's ... )

Oli.

I have some boxster wheels which I think will look much better painted black. Have to say I like the idea of black mirrors as well, very cool idea thanks to Paul.

I wish I could claim the credit but they were MarkK's old one's from his black car and I'm simply too lazy to paint them blue [:D]

What about
1.dark grey spokes only, with silver full rim(inc the outside edge) or
2.dark grey shadowing on the spoke inner edges and the rest remainding silver?
I bet these cant be done on photo bucket?[;)]

I think option 2 would just serve to make the spokes look thinner.

I don't understand how option 1 is different to Rich's S2 pictured above.

I take that back, on looking again I see the difference - option 1 is what I had on my 964:

Now those I do like [8D]because there is a little more silver showing on the rims ,which breaks the main colour up.
