eBay - at least that is where all the stolen ones appear to end up! [:)]

Mine were stolen and the next night a set appeared on eBay for £ 50! Apparantly in immaculate condition.

so they wasnt your ones then???!!!!! ill give that a whirl many tks although i thought all the ones on there were cheap immitation ones from taiwan. i did buy dust caps moff ebay and they were good although highlights how sad i can be at times!

Hi there

Have just purchased a set of coloured centre caps from bloke on Ebay[USA]and they were $129USD plus freight. They wre made in Italy but I didnt care. They look exactly the same as the "geniune"ones and cost a whole bunch of money less.Quality is first class-not cheap knock offs with I was born in China on the back! And as far as being made in Germany is concerned the rear engine cover of my GT3 was made in France and I know its geniune.
I can give you the sellers email details if you care to contact me.

Personally I think that is a lot for secondhand non genuine wheel inserts, ($129 + freight). Anyway, I always get them thrown in free with the car!

thanks gary sorry for not getting back too you. thanks for pointing out the discount ill be investing soon i recon. fortunately i dont tend to leave my car for long periods so ive not had the inserts stolen yet!!!

In reply to Derek-when did I say they were second hand-they arent!
It would be impossible to notice any difference from the "geniune" type. The only diff was the part number on the back but your choice.Porsche geniune parts in alot of cases are nothing more than a rip off.Good luck

[&:] Andrew... I'm not feeling the love in your post ??!

The ebay comment, It was pointed out that it was a personal perspective and one I and many may agree with.
True there are shops on ebay selling new, sometimes knock off goods but there is also a fair share of second hand goods.
Whilst pointing that out I think its a fair comment.

With regards to Porsche genuine parts being rip offs, this again is your personal point of view which we will openly listen to, some I'm sure will agree with you..
However I think that you'll find that its not just Porsche parts but nearly all car makers genuine parts that could be described as "expensive"

As found whilst looking for the wheel centres, you would see (if you had access) that the deal from the OPC can work out cheaper than buying 'exactly' the same item from an independent retailer... the indi's however do also offer cheaper alternatives...

im beginning to wish i hadnt started this! i had someone on ebay offer me coloured wheel inserts with matching dust caps all for £70. first thing to do is get my wheels refurbished when she has her 4yr service at the end of the summer. the opc suggested their associated workshop would charge circ £200 for all 4 wheels.i thought this was reasonable....my opc is colchester and their associated body repairers is chaplanes

I understand that you cannot get original coloured inserts for the Turbo, does anyone know if there are any available?

In reply to fireblade. The chap that I purchased mine from had alot of various types for sale on Ebay.I can give you his details if you wish to contact me.
