I heard this mentioned before and seemed like a good option..
It's never been offered to me..[:(]

It was offered to me. I turned it down, as never had a puncture in last 15 years. Mistake.

The following week I had a punctured unrepairable rear P Zero Rosso! Cost me about £275 for a new one.

It's a funny old world.

With the current state of the UK roads and our low profile tyres- its even better now.

The reason I get my tyres from my supplier in Norfolk, Stapletons tyre services, is because they offer tyre insurance for £17 a corner and nearly always beat any properly sourced price including

I nearly always pick up at least one puncture per year. Not had to claim yet.

See this thread
Pneusonline offer 2 year tyre insurance for £4 a tyre (if bought from them), but read the terms ad conditions on page 2 of the thread

Worth noting that a colleague recently tried to claim on his policy and because the tyre had been damaged a few days before he got round to calling they rejected his claim. I think you have to notify within 3 days.

I got offered it when I bought my new car and turned it down although the prospect of 'finding' a nail in the tyre just as they were on the tyre wear indicators did intrigue me - I wonder how many people are blagging these claims!

I asked my PC about this today and they said they were unable to offer this anymore due to FSA rules regarding the selling of insurance. So what's different with yours I wonder?
Edit - Just a thought, was it a stand alone insurance or additional to the GAP insurance, Chris?
