As Day1 says check the tyres carefully for damage and also check for play in the wheel bearings/suspension.
Let us know how you get on as this can be difficult to cure.

Since its return, I've noticed wheel-wobble at 50 - 60 mph (I take my hands off the wheel and watch it wobble) - and the wobble can sometimes (but not always) get pretty violent when braking, though this seems possibly dependent ...
- on road surface,
- on whether braking from say, 55, or braking from 70-ish
- on how hard I'm braking.
I'll check out the ideas posted here. Thanks to all.

Actually, this had occured to me too (honestly). The balancing was apparently done by OPC Reading (who are just around the corner from Specialised Paintwork) so I'd have expected a good job!
Do you think that only the front wheels would need doing, or can an imbalanced rear wheel cause the same effect?
I'll get it done asap.
Cheers
