Looking to buy 16 wheel nuts, to replace my suprisingly rusty ones. Anyone know any mail order firms that could supply?

Regards

On a slightly related subject...
Has anyone found a source of black plastic covers to go over the wheel bolts?

I know you can get chromed covers...but don't want them.
VW have various black plastic covers...but the heads of their bolts are 17mm...not the 19mm we need.

Has anyone found another OEM source of 19mm black plastic wheel bolt covers?
I seem to remember Vauxhall using 19mm heads some time ago...and having plastic covers...but I can't find any trace.

I'm fed up of having rusty wheel bolts...

Mine did the same got very bored of painting them so ended up buying some covers from Porsche shop they are expensive for what they are but they look good and do the job, fitted them today.

They also do plastic ones as well

Yes the same link to the Porscheshop.

I got a pack of 20 black ones for my car around £35ish from memory.

But if you want all 5 per wheel covered, you have to buy 4 new bolts to replace the locking nuts as they don't stay on.

Total outlay around £50, which seems a lot but believe me, mine looks much better now than when it had 5 rusty bolts showing!!

My Citroen C5 has chromed plastic wheel bolt covers, which include a little adapter for the locking bolt. If cheap-jack Citroen can achieve this, why can't Porsche?

Next thing you will tell me is that Citroen offer more than 2 years warranty and have a more up to date sat nav maps with ipod connection... [;)]

Funny you should mention that.

If you have the little key code card it will have the code on and you can order a new key from Porsche

If they are original porsche they will have a set. Cost me approx £30 for a replacement. However, it is best to go in and see them as there are i think over 30 varieties which are all fairly similar. If its not original...well best not to think About it!! Good luck
