Wheel Nutters

I've changed my wheels a couple of times over the 4 years of my car ownership.

Whilst doing research on suitable locking wheel nuts, I've found that up until 964 (1993) those 911's that used wheel nuts, use a type with a tapered bevel that seats into the wheel hub.

From the 993 models onwards a nut with a radial edge was used.

So if using wheels from later models all the wheel nuts would need to be changed to match the wheels.

Your information is very wrong, wheel nuts didnt change from 1965 to 1998, neither did the shape of the locking nut

Thanks very much for the reply.

I've been on databases from other suppliers who have different nuts from the dates stated above but I know how many of these are erroneous. I went and bought an oil filter at Halfords for another car and the instore database had a completely different set of numbers from their onshelf book. I went with the book and it was correct.

What can I say??
