Wheel Paint Colour

Anyone know the paint reference for the silver paint Porsche used on wheels from the mid 90's? I'm looking to refurb some centres I have. cheers

I don't have a specific ref no. though I'm sure someone will.

My centres are alloy (not sure yours are?) and I got them done at Pristine in Milton Keynes (they seemed to get mentioned a lot in relation to refurbs). They have all the correct colours for Porsche and did a good job and only charged me £3.50 each, though I did get them done at the same time as the wheels.

I only posses '24 & '44, but a quick check in the PET catalogue suggest the colour code to be 61M, suggest you check with an OPC to confirm though

Regards

Stu

I've just had wheels refurbed by Pristine, but I did the centres myself. I used silver paint by Wurth - "Laquer Spray Special"

Check on eBay and you'll often see people selling it. It's marketed as matching Porsche silver. I don't know if this is true or not, but the centres I did with it matched the wheels done by Pristine beautifully. (I had tried some silver paint from Halfords in an earlier attempt and it was disaster!).

Here's an example:

Thanks Rob. I tracked down the same paint and got some too from ebay. Interesting I also tried the Halfords route and has the same experience - poor choice of paint not Halfords)
